Girl Scouts of South Carolina - Mountains to Midlands Volunteer Forum - Registration
The Volunteer Forum connects Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands volunteers with each other to share ideas and experiences and ask questions. While the Forum is meant to facilitate the free and open exchange of ideas, there are a few simple rules:
1. Be professional. Feel free to engage in a spirited discussion or disagree, but please avoid “flaming” or attacking individuals and organizations. Participants should refrain from using profane, obscene, intolerant, slanderous, threatening or abusive language; or sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any laws, be they local, state, national, or otherwise.
2. Online message boards and billboards are not the same. Do not submit promotional advertisements or “spam” anywhere in the discussion groups.
3. Have fun. Don’t be afraid to ask a question, to answer a question from another volunteer, or to monitor information.
4. All Girl Scout adults who are registered members of Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands can access the Volunteer Forum. Take care that your postings are appropriate for this large audience, and take pride in the tone and content of your postings. Avoid use of individuals’ names and contact information.
5. Copyright laws do apply to the Web. Do not submit any material that is protected by copyright unless you are the copyright holder or have the copyright holder’s permission.
6. Edit your message. Review your message before submitting to ensure that it will make sense to others besides yourself. Forum moderators will edit or disapprove submissions that violate this agreement you make when you enter the Forum to request access as a participant.
7. Stay on topic. Although there are many topics you probably want to discuss, submit messages and questions with the awareness that this is a Girl Scout online community. Messages of a personal nature will not be posted.
8. Avoid duplicate submissions. Do not submit the same message or question under multiple discussion topics.
9. The IP address of all submissions is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
10. You agree that the Volunteer Forum has the right to remove, edit, move, or close any topic at any time should we see fit.
11. As a user you agree to storing in a database any information you have entered. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, the Volunteer Forum shall not be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
12. Tell the Volunteer Forum what you think. We always strive to improve the content and functionality of the Volunteer Forum and encourage feedback and suggestions.
13. By accessing the Volunteer Forum, you agree to be legally bound by the agreement terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by these terms, then please do not request access to the Forum. We may change these terms at any time and we will do our utmost to inform you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of the Volunteer Forum after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.
14. Violating these terms may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service provider if deemed required by us.
