A Place for Volunteers

The Volunteer Forum is a support tool providing adult members of Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands
the opportunity to exchange ideas and information that will enhance their volunteer experience.
The Volunteer Forum gives volunteers a place:
• to ask each other questions about working with girls, families, and other volunteers;
• to offer suggestions or solutions to each other’s challenges;
• to share programs, community resources, or other resources that will enhance the Girl Scout experience.
The Forum is moderated by the Volunteer Services staff. Their role includes:
• assuring that posts conform to the participant agreement (shown below);
• assuring the accuracy of information that is posted as volunteers answer each other’s questions;
• encouraging participation to enhance volunteer interaction and exchange of information;
• researching and responding to questions or comments relating to council responsibilities.
The Forum is a venue for volunteers to support each other through information exchange. Questions pertaining to council
issues that are time sensitive should be directed to the appropriate staff member and not submitted for consideration on
the Forum.
