YMCA Activity: Survivor Games

WHAT IT TAKES TO SURVIVE
Hollingsworth Survival Games puts new skills to the test
YMCA OF GREENVILLE
www.ymcagreenville.org

The popularity of the book and film “The Hunger Games” inspired a skillbased workshop at the YMCA Hollingsworth Outdoor Center. Participants learn shelter construction, fire building, and archery and then put these new skills to the test in some friendly competition.

The Survival Games workshops are available as full-day or half-day sessions and are perfect for Girl Scout,
Boy Scout or Cub Scout groups, church youth groups, families, or individuals interested in putting their skills to the test. The cost is $10 per person for a full day workshop (weekends or school holidays), or $7 for half days (usually 4 PM-8 PM). Water is provided.

For information about scheduling an experience, contact Greg McKee at 864-963-3608, ext 24 or
email him at gmckee@ymcagreenville.org. Those Girl Scout Troops/Groups taking advantage of this program through email and mentioning “A Penny Earned”  will receive a $1 discount for the afternoon experience--$6 instead of $7.
