The education and employment disparities between males and females in science, technology, engineering and math professions makes Girl Scouting committed to offering opportunities for girls’ exploration of education and careers in STEM areas. Our all-girl environment and use of enthusiastic female role models provide an encouraging environment with eye-opening, thought-provoking ideas.

Put on your engineering hat and learn how to light things up! This class uses simple circuitry and electricity to get students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Inspired by the Maker Education Initiative, this student-led class will empower your young makers and encourage them to ask questions and define problems all while using the engineering design process. Students are encouraged to make mistakes and develop their own ideas.

Each student will walk away with their own light-up creation at the end! This two hour experience includes time to explore the EdVenture Children’s Museum.
