Exploring nature can happen anywhere. When you interact with nature you become more aware of how plants, animals and humans coexist. As we learn to respect and appreciate the environment, we may find an inner peace. We may be inspired to take action to preserve, conserve, or protect.

Camping together – constructing a temporary community with a common purpose – is a long-time favorite Girl Scout activity. Teamwork, leadership, independence, trusting, overcoming fear, living simply, listening and finding harmony are a few of the many benefits of camping together.

Category: Adventure in the Outdoors
Enjoy the morning with your troop, and meet other Daisies in your area on this great day full of learning and exploration. Discover what lives in your local creek and lake, and connect to the environment by learning about where we get our water and how to conserve this valuable resource. Finally, take action by making a cool craft out of recycled materials to take home to share with your family and friends. Bring a bag lunch and enjoy the end of the morning with a picnic.
